Sunday Morning Hope

Struggling To Understand
The Bible On Your Own?

For years in our churches, we have sung the affirmation, “I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today; I know that He is living, whatever men may say.

That statement of faith expresses the settled sentiment of our hearts. The resurrection of Jesus was verified by witnesses (1 CR 15:,5,6), fulfilled by Scripture (1 CR 15:3,4), and merited proclamation (MT 28:7). It is the lynchpin, the cornerstone, of Christian faith.

The resurrection means that the Bible is true (1 CR 15:1-4), Satan is defeated (HB 2:14,15) and I can face tomorrow (LK 12:4). Why? Because the resurrection is the greatest comeback story in human history.

Could it be that’s what you need today? Jesus’ resurrection teaches that no matter the odds or how deep the spiritual deficit, it’s not too for a
comeback.

No one is too dirty for God to cleanse, broken for God to fix, too far gone for God to reach, guilty for God to forgive, or worthless for God to love.

The message of crucifixion Friday and resurrection Sunday is a message of hope. In the words of Jesus, “Do you believe this?” (JN 11:26).
